Safe Skies Maryland is proud to be part of the Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS), formally a subcommittee on conservation, to attempt to address one of the most significant challenges now facing resident and migratory birds.  The Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) fosters interaction and exchange of information among people interested in wild birds to encourage the study and enjoyment of birds and the natural world.  Among it’s many goals, MOS seeks to encourage the protection and conservation of bird life and natural resources that support bird life. Safe Skies Maryland is a partner organization of the Maryland Bird Conservation Partnership (MBCP). The mission of MBCP is to help citizens and other parties working together to conserve Maryland birds and the habitats supporting them. It is a science-driven partnership that seeks to prioritize conservation needs, enable an integrated approach in addressing conservation goals, to coordinate with federal and state land management agencies and private organizations, and to increase public awareness of the challenges faced by Maryland’s avifauna.  For more information please see marylandbirds.org
